WINDMILL SIGHTSEEING CRUISE (1 Hour) + WINDMILL VISIT (30 Minutes)
The 1-hour Sightseeing Cruise is the perfect opportunity to get acquainted with beautiful suburbs of Amsterdam with stunning views of windmills, bulb fields and pretty little villages keeping you company. Departing from the ‘Ringvaart’ Canal and heading into the ‘Kager’ Lakes, home to ten unique islands, this is a fantastic way to sit back and relax. The cruise comes with commentary from a live guide, regaling you with the tales of this reclaimed land and its current inhabitants. Sailing along the lakes and amidst the narrow water lanes between islands, you can see some of their homes which can only be reached by boats, the incredible decor of old-school mansions, the colourful Dutch landscape dotted with the historic windmills and much more.
The cruise will drop you off at one the windmills which are still in use - you can take your time to explore it and enjoy an intimate look at the workings of this Dutch national icon, all while learning more about the history of windmills in the country.
NOTE: If you have selected this combination, the Windmills Cruise and Visit will take place first. Board the Keukenhof Shuttle bus from Amsterdam, arrive at Ringvaart Canal to take a cruise and visit the windmill after the cruise. Once you are done with the Cruise and Windmill visit, take the Shuttle Bus (which will be waiting right there) and head for your Keukenhof visit where you can, again, stay as long as you like.
